Kirkcaldy Canoe Club

Kirkcaldy Canoe Club is a Sprint and Marathon Racing Club and was established in 1979 by a group of young paddlers and their parents.  The club continues to have a large emphasis on junior paddlers although over the years the number of adults has increased.

The club has a good variety of Sprint and Marathon canoes for introducing both children and adults to the sport.

During the summer club training and coaching sessions are held on Kinghorn Loch every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6 – 8pm. Many members also attend races at weekends.

In the winter months there are water based sessions on Saturday mornings for the more experienced paddlers but, the main emphasis is on indoor circuit training and swimming sessions at Balwearie Centre (Kirkcaldy) on Saturday afternoons.

The Canoe Club now has its own website at www.kirkcaldycanoeclub.co.uk.
