INTERESTS

GROUPS

These pages cover a range of important groups and activities in Kinghorn; from the community council and its Pathways group and the Loch Users group to the much-loved inshore Lifeboat and events such as the annual Nine-Artists exhibition.  The opening of the renovated Town Hall, which lay empty for twenty years, and the modern “Climate Challenge” campaign.  We are also developing a Writers Corner for local writers and poets and a horticultural bent will be coming soon.

There is also information on the beaches and the Rosyth-Zeebrugge ferry on this page, and help if you are struggling with debt or other problems.

Robbie Blyth, Coastal Officer for Fife Council has succeeded in achieving the  Keep Scotland Beautiful Rural Beach Award for both the Kinghorn Harbour Beach (the village beach) and Pettycur Beach.  We owe thanks to the Harbour Residents Environmental Group for their work over the years on the village beach.

The difficulties with cutting back and tidying up The Braes overlooking the beach remains a problem and often attracts comment at meetings.  There will be an answer somewhere and hopefully we will find it soon.
