A choice of walks by a keen local walker.
Walk index
Parking places

The walks have been carefully researched and any normally fit person could walk them. None are of excessive length, but some can be added together for longer excursions.
They are generally good underfoot, with only a few sections on grass, but parts could be muddy after rain, or in winter. It is recommended that strong shoes or walking boots are worn and that warm clothing, water and some basic first aid items be carried.
The routes are simple to follow just from the map, but the photographs will help anyone in trouble as well as allowing prospective walkers to see the terrain. All the walks have superb views. The walks are circular routes and can be walked in either direction and can also be started at other points than those suggested. e.g. in Kinghorn or Burntisland for some walks.
The Binn path is not for those afraid of heights. Towards the top, the path is on open grass and just one to two yards from the sheer edge.
Unfortunately there are very few parking places on Standing Stane road that runs from the A909 Dunearn to the B9157 near Kirkcaldy.
It is recommended that The Ordnance Survey Explorer Series map 367 be carried.
