“As secretary of the community council, I was approached by a journalist from Coast magazine who is wanting to do an article on coastal villages. He found the information and pictures on our website to be interesting and appealing for his research and telephoned to ask what was good about living in Kinghorn. It was an easy question to answer, two beautiful sandy beaches, coastal walks, lovely views stretching all along the firth and inland. A thriving loch, an ecology centre and many pathways and walks to enjoy. Kinghorn has the feel of a relaxed country atmosphere coupled with a direct and frequent rail link to Edinburgh, simply the best of both worlds.
Before I get too carried away, I should mention that the article should appear in the November issue of the magazine. Let’s hope that when people read it they don’t want to flock in their thousands to live here but they are totally and very welcome to visit and enjoy a pint in the Auld Hoose or a meal in the Ship (not to mention our other hostelries and hotels)”.
