Two local golf courses, canoeing, sailing, walking, bird watching, the Ecology Centre and the beaches.  Good restaurants, cafes and pubs and plenty of open space.

This is a headland course in an attractive coastal setting with spectacular views in both directions of the Forth Estuary.  It is an 18 hole, par 65 course and provides quite a challenge particularly when the wind blows.  It is a public golf course.  The neighbouring Burntisland Golf Course is within two miles of Kinghorn.

Kinghorn Golf Course

A major focus for Kinghorn Sailing Club is introducing people to the sport and equipping them with the skills needed to get started.  But it's not just about beginners as even intermediate level sailors can benefit from some of the courses on offer.

If you want to learn to sail or improve your abilities then Kinghorn Sailing Club has much to offer you. Courses are run over two weekends in early summer and autumn to teach complete beginners how to sail to RYA standards.

Take to the Fife Coastal Path.

Walk stretches of the Fife Coastal Path which allows you to walk from Newburgh to Kincardine, a distance of 150 km.  The coast between Kinghorn and Kirkcaldy and through to Leven is wonderful, and full of history and wildlife - seabirds and seals.  Go to the Coastal Path website for all the details. Both the path and a local circular extension are in Kinghorn.
